In the world of stop motion animation Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas, James and the Giant Peach and Monkeybone stand out as proud achievements, all directed by Henry Selick and all with Bonita DeCarlo involved as a key player. Bonita's groundbreaking techniques and innovative solutions to cinematic problems have been applied to every stop motion feature film that followed. Indeed her techniques have been adapted as standard procedure throughout the industry.
Bonita has graciously decided to pass along her information to knowledge hungry students from around the globe who attend The Academy of Art University to attend one of several different classes taught by this resident master of the craft. Beginning and advanced students benefit from her experience and passion for the art form.
